Large Rare Carico Lake Gem Turquoise Navajo Vintage Bracelet. The Navajo artist used solid heavy silver to create this magnificent masterpiece highlighting the beauty of each stone. It features 3 perfect gem quality Carico Lake turquoise stones and 10 smaller size stones. The sterling silver has oxidized and darkened with decades making it even more unique. This vintage bracelet has 2 hallmark stamps on each side an unknown Navajo artist. We are trying to find who made it and so far it’s a mystery!
Carico Lake turquoise is known for its clear, iridescent, spring green color which is due to its zinc and copper content. Carico Lake stones can also display a dark blue-green color with a black spider web matrix. Recent finds are producing many new blue tones with even, black matrix. The colors and scarcity of Carico Lake turquoise make it a valuable addition to any collection.
